FIRST OF ALL YOU HAVE CHANGE SPARK PLUGS WHEN ENGINE IS COOL.IF YOU CHANGE THEM WHILE ENGINE IS HOT YOU COULD DAMAGE THE ALUMINUM HEADS OR CAUSE DISTORTION.TO CHANGE SPARK PLUGS YOU NEED A SPARK PLUG SOCKET.A TORQUE WRENCH.ITS NOT MANDATORY.BUT IT WILL KEEP YOU FROM OVER TIGHTEN SPARK PLUGS.YOU NEED A 3/8 RATCHET AND EXTENSION.YOU ALSO NEED A SPARK PLUG GAP GAUGE.AND SPARK PLUG BOOT PULLER.YOU ALSO NEED SOME ANTI SEIZE COMPOUND.TO PREVENT DAMAGE THREADS WHEN INSTALLING THE SPARK PLUGS.

My 1999 ford expidition want start

Could be many things. First i would listen for the fuel pump to kick on whenever you turn the key on(without starting). Then if you don't hear it kicking on, check all your fuses. Especially the fuel pump fuse. If none of your fuses are bad, then your fuel pump is shot and you need to replace it. After that, if it still wont start, Check to see if your getting spark to your spark plugs. You can do this by taking the sprk plug out, and keeping it hooked to the wire and have someone try to crank the motor. As they are turning the motor over, see if you see the spark plug sparking. If not, then its your coil packs, or your vehicle is off time. ALSO, try changing the crank sensor. That could be why its not starting as well. Hope this helps, James Booth. Please rate this. :) And good luck with your experiance in trying to crank your vehicle. Have a good day.

It stutters under mild acceleration, it smoothes out when accelerating hard

I would check your coil packs and plug wires. These newer motors even the spark plug gap will cause problems. Change your fuel filter. A easy way to check for misfires have your codes read but if there is no codes it has to be something simple like plugs or wires.

99 expedition wont start

there are a couple of ways.I would remove a plug wire from one of the spark plugs, useing a spark tester that you can pick up at your local parts store insert it into the spark plug wire and have someone crank the motor and you watch the tester.
