My low coolant light comes on whenever I start my 1991 735 iL. I had the coolant system checked out. It's fine. Which fuse may I take off to stop the warning area from going: "Ding - Low Coola

Make sure that there is enough fluid in the overflow jug as well as the radiator , I think the jug has a sensor it could be bad, or there may be air in your cooling system tat was not bled out of the bleeder valve if the system was serviced recently.

2004 mazda mpv engine racing and cooling fan not working

coolant temp sensor tells the computer how hot or cold the engine is so it can regulate the idle and fuel mixture, when it fails there usually is no cooling fan and you will have trouble starting the engine and keeping it running.

If air conditioner system not working cause 1999 Mazda 626 2.0L to overheat

No this wont cause an overheat problem. Check the coolant level , check to see if the fans come on after it heats up. when the car is warming up you can check the thermostat, by touching the top radiator hose, after a few minutes the hose should get hot, this indicates that the thermostat opened up and is working. If it doesn't replace the thermostat. If it doesn't over heat until you start driving , then suspect the water pump. The impellers can slip on the shaft and not have enough flow to keep it cool.

Anti freeze keeps leaking out from the resevior but not overheating

If the coolant is leaking out of the reservoir cap the cooling system is just over filled and there's nothing to worry about. If the coolant is leaking from the shell of the reservoir it will need replaced. Also check that the hose coming from the radiator is clamped on properly and tight. Please rate this answer, thanks.

Added coolant and tank is full. Ran it a couple times and added more coolant. 1 1/2 gallons altogether. Coolant light goes out then comes back on in a few seconds. Do these systems need bled. Has a bleed...

Good Evening. Bleeding the air out of the cooling system is a very important step. What you are looking for is just a steady stream of antifreeze you will see the difference from the flow with air an just fluid. Once you do that top off your reservoir and you should be just fine. Hope this helps, and if you have any more questions please feel free to ask.

1996 toyota tercel air conditioner will not work

Hello, and welcome to FixYa. Let us try to help.

Yes, you read correctly; if the refrigerant charge is low,or the refrigerant has leaked out, the AC compressor will not activate. Pressure switches built into the system inturupt the power to the AC clutch if there is insufficient system pressure.

I would suggest taking the vehicle to a qualified garage, and have the service tech there hook his set of 'AC Gauges" to the car. After he does that, he can tell you if you need a partial charge, of if you system is empty. I would def recommend the car be checked with the AC gauges; as adding refrigerant to the system without knowing how much is currently in it can damage the compressor.

Thanks for choosing FixYa for advice!

Why am I losing coolant and have no heat or air?

I would start by checking for coolant leaks. Common places would be in the waterpump or heater core. Heater cores can crack and leak. The heat from your vents inside the vehicle comes from air passing over the heater core, which is heated by the hot coolant flowing through the heater core. It acts in a similar fashion to your radiator, with the purpose of heat transfer. A coolant system that is low on coolant will not transfer heat through the heater core. Also, deposits from the coolant system can collect and plug the heater core which will restrict the flow and the amount of heat that is transfered to your heater. If you don't see coolant leaking externally, it may be leaking into the engine. this may be from a blown head gasket or warped head. If this is the case you may notice some whitish color smoke coming from the exhaust, as well as your coolant overflow/storage tank fluid level may increase.
The air conditioning is a seperate system and may be a seperate issue. The system contains liquid freon like a refrigerator. You can by recharge kits at your local autoparts store. If the kit works, you may find there is a leak in the system and you will loose cold air after some time. If thats the case, a certified dealer can fill the system with colored dye to help locate the leak. A bad compressor or evaporater can also cause a/c systems to fail.
