Its a new tank before you fitted the tank it would need flushing. this is a lining they put on the inside to stop contamination, also to make sure its not been used, the same takes are on diesels and petrol engines and you don't want to mix them up so there is a film on the take to say its not used. you will need to flush out the tank. and flush your fuel lines injectors etc. when you bought the take they should of told you about the lining, or there should be a sticker on the tank to flush out before use.

SOURCE: Can not pumb Gas into Hyundai 2001 accent

Try moving the handle in a different position, or don't put the nozzel all the way in. The vent tube could be clogged.

SOURCE: Fuel gauge not working properly Hyundai Accent

The fuel gauge utilizes a voltage stabilizer located on the back of the instrument cluster. if it's faulty it could cause this problem. The other causes are a wire fault (short) between the gauge and the tank sending unit and the sending unit itself being corroded and stuck in the full position (the float assembly that is). One way to quickly isolate (and maybe eliminate) the problem is to get a used cluster from a wrecking yard and swap it out. If it works normally, there you go... if not you will need to access the tank sending unit (this usually, but not always, involves draining and dropping the tank to get to it. Some cars have an access panel in the body over the fuel tank for this purpose... look under the carpeting in the rear of the vehicle) Once you have access disconnect the power wire (usually red or with a red stripe), and with the key on, the gauge should drop to empty. If it doesn't, the problem is not the sending unit. Hope this helps...;-)

SOURCE: how do you remove radio from hyundai accent 1998

You have to take out the ash tray, and remove those two screws, then pop out the center dash trim. Careful, though, you have to take out a lot of the wiring inside of your center dash trim in order to pull it out for enough room to move the radio in and out. I'm doing this right now, actually..

SOURCE: i need to locate fuel filter on 2002 hyundai accent

Remove rear seat, there is an acess panel, remove panel, filter is under that. Before removing filter, release fuel pressure by loosening gas cap.

How to change fuel filter in 2008 accent

Ok, so I've searched the endless possibilities of the web; watched video after video; read article after article; searched underneath my 2008 Hyundai Accent from rear to front and back again, to no avail. I finally gave up and called a dealership. Turns out that the fuel filter is located ON TOP of the gas tank. As helpful as the diagram Paul posted is, I can't get to the fuel filter the same way as the pump underneath the back seat. According to the technician I spoke to, I have to drop the gas tank to change the fuel filter. What a pain in the @$&

I can,t find my fuel filter on my Hyundai accent 2004

The fuel filter on hyundai accents is under the back seat. You have to pull up the back seat and it is right there. Make sure that you re-install it correctly and also make sure that you have newspaper or rags as you will have some gasoline leak out. It is advisable to pull the fuse for the fuel pump (under the steering column on inside of car I believe, if not it is under the hood) and once the fuse is pulled start the car and it should die immediately, this will relieve pressure on the fuel line. When I replace mine, I pull the old one out and make sure that I am holding it in my hand exactly as it came out so that I can install the new one correctly. It is also advisable to wear long yellow gloves. Make sure that everything clicks into place, and all clips are installed correctly. This should be pretty easy once you locate the filter.

Fuel filter location

The fuel filter location for a 2005 Hyundai Accent depends on where it was manufactured and when. It is possibly mounted external, on the outside of the fuel tank directly above the fuel pump and accessible by removing the back seat. The other possibility is that it is mounted inside the fuel tank and requires removing the back seat, the metal panel, the fuel pump itself and then accessing the filter.

Help this helps and good luck.
