I have a 1992 chevy lumina it has the 3.4 and i just put in new fuel pump and new spark plugs and wires and it ran for about a half hour just fine i took it apart and i have gas going to fuel rail but it will not start is it possible that the crank sensor just went out i drove it for about 20 feet and just died and will not start just rolls over it will run for a bit when i shoot thrust into the throttle body ? possibly a sensor of some sort or mabey fuel injectors
?
If its getting fuel to the rail its going to injectors just need to see if ure injectors are any good by doing check on them also one thing to keep in mind even if on injector is bad others will still work unless u getting code from it from ecm, most times a simple tune up is all u need.
Have you checked that engine oil level is okay, if so check that oil pressure switch is good. The switch is usually bypassed to start the engine, but it won't run with no oil pressure indicated...hope this helps
