The orfice tube is located in the condenser to evaporator tube and can not be serviced separately. If replacement is required a new liquid line will be required. Orfice location in the tube is noted by 3 compressed dimples on the line.

It is located in the larger of the 2 AC hoses from the compressor or it is located on the can shaped object called the "accumulator canister"

Can the orifice tube on a 2002 mustang be repaired with kit

You do not cut & splice into any A/C System

You replace with the oe type parts only when
they fail/leak

The orifice is a screen inside the hose connection
& can be cleaned,not necessary to always replace

REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION Intake Air Temperature (IAT) Sensor Removal and Installation
  1. Disconnect battery ground cable (14301) .
  1. Disconnect engine control sensor wiring (12A581) from intake air temperature sensor (IAT sensor) (12A697) .
  1. Remove intake air temperature sensor from air cleaner outlet tube (9B659). (This is the tube that goes from the air cleaner to the engine.)
  1. To install, reverse Removal procedure. Tighten intake air temperature sensor securely.
