2006 trailblazer shifter. stuck in neutral

Do you mean you cant physically move the shifter, or moving it wont shift the transmission out of neutral? If you cant move it suspect a seized shift cable, if it moves but wont shift, and maybe feels loose, the connection on the transmission might have fallen off/broken

2012 Chrysler Town and Country wont shift out of park

Probably a problem with the shifter interlock system . Won't allow the gear selector to move from park with the engine running unless the driver is pushing on the brake pedal . Locking solenoid in the shifter , brake pedal switch , wiring etc... may even have a body control module in the loop controlling these system . Do the brake light's work ? Some of these system's have a release point in the shifter assembly . Don't know if this is your problem without checking it out .

I have a 2007 saturn aura xr v6. When tried to shift into drive it wouldn't move. Whats my problem? And how do i fix it.

What is it?

if the shifter wont move, you may have a brake switch not releasing the lock for the shifter. or the shifter lock is bad and not releasing. if your brake lights are working then your lock for shifter release is bad.

If the car wont move and its in drive could be many things. This i would have no idea without real testing in person. Get it towed to a shop.

1999 ford taurus.....wont go into any gear..is it the transmission?

if the shifter wont move with brake pedal pushed ck , shift interlock, brake pedal switch, and key interlock. if the shifter moves and trans does nothing ck cable underhood at trans for operation if working yes you have trans problem . ck fluid to see level or if burnt fluid will smell real bad if low trans wont work right.and a trans can fail with out setting any engine or trans codes.so ck engine light wont come on. there is some times a release by the shifter a small cover you pull off and stick a key or small screw driver in slot and shifter will move.

97 mazda 626 wont shift from park. release button on side of shifter wont push in. removed knob, plastic rod in center wont move

The 1st thing you need to do is check the brake lights, if they are not wiorking the park lock solenoid doesn't get power and the park lock remains engaged.

My shifter on my 2001 honda accord wont shift just moves back and forth wont go into gear

Either the linkage to the tranny from the shifter is broke or apart, or the internal linkage is broken. can you check the underside of the car and see if the linkage between the shifter and tranny are intact? Have someone move the shifter whil your looking at the linkage, this will tell you whethr it is internal or external.

It wont let me move the shifter out of park

Shift interlock solenoid is probably bad.. there is a spot in the console if you look that will allow you to depress a tab that will allow the shifter to move.

Will not shift out of park

can you move the shifter and it wont go into gear or will the shifter not move at all?? if shifter wont move, there is an electrical solinoid that will not allow the shifter to release when the car is off, that could be faulty, i think it also has a safety mechanism that wont allow it to shift if your foot is not on the brake? if the shifter moves through prn321 but the trans wont come out of park, you have broken the shifter cableand or damaged the shifter mechanism in the trans. hope i have been of some assistance
