Yes it very easy if you have all the tools and a small ramp you can drive the car up on. today my opinion its not worth changing your own oil anymore unless you enjoying get down dirty and greasy. us "mechanic" don't even change or own oil. most places now offer oil change for 19.95 to 29.95. take your car which will take 4.5 quarts of oil and it will cost you, 2.25 each would come to 10.00 bucks, filter 8.00 buck and now you have 19.00 bucks. Im assummed this will be your first oil change, you will need to by the oil filter removal tools, two small car ramp, oil pan and a big container to storage your used oil. you will have close to 100 buck on the tools. if you plan to change your oil regularly, than it would be good investment in the tools. even though oil change is 29.95 to me it worth paying some one 10 bucks to get underneath that car and have them do the oil change. hope that help some

2012 sonata burning oil- just had oil change and have to add oil- no visible signs of leak

If the oil loss started after oil change check to see if your oil filter is not all the way tight. My oil light came on a couple months ago about a month after oil change. I reached under my truck and could turn the oil filter by hand. Just something to check. Make sure the oil filter is tight and drain plug is not wet may leak at drain plug. Those are the cheep fixes.

I would like to tune up my 2002 Hyundai Sonata myself. How do I do this? I need to save money. What is the procedure for changing spark plugs?

you would need a 10 mm wrench and 5/8 socket for the spark plugs,
dissasemble the coils if you have coil on plug with the 10 mm wrench if its cable on plug unplug the cable and spray some wd-40 on the spark plug hole, then take the plugs off with the 5/8 socket

Best oil for my 2002 2.7 sonata

10w-30w or 5w-30w depending were you live, in a hot climate go with 10w-30w, any major brand, don't use any higher viscosity oil, modern engines are designed for lighter oils to improve fuel mileage and increase bearing life. I like Valvoline or Castrol, if you plan to own the car a long time then synthetic oil really prolongs engine life.
