eliminate all routine maintenance..plugs, fuel filter cap & rotor if applicable, air filter. plug wires if necessary.....then it can only be approx 15 other components...straight up!
you need obd2 scanner to do this or obd interface for PC. on some cars you can try to remove negative battery cable for 15 minutes. if you have radio code you need to save it before removing cable.
IAT sensor is the Intake Air Sensor..
It could be temperature or amount and as the engine is stalling, I would suspect that the sensor is not measuring the amount of airflow correctly..Substitute a known good unit as these sensors are not a repairable item..
have the vehicle scanned for error codes at autozone, its free. Post codes for more help....These engines have issues with the COPs (ignition coils-over-plugs) failing prior to 80k miles. When they fail typical problems are: Sputtering under load/acceleration, rough idle, random misfires, random stalling, light or heavy jerking under load (usually at 15-35mph and 45-65mph)..hopefully this helps!!
Per your description, it sounds like it may be a fuel pressure or volume problem. Has the fuel filter been changed?
If not, I would have it changed and a fuel pressure test performed. The only other issue that comes to mind is a possible crank sensor problem.
If the service engine light is on, have the trouble codes read while you are getting the fuel filter changed.
Best of luck, let me know.
