1st and foremost you must disarm the airbag, do this by leaving the battery disconnected for 1 hour, then remove the steering wheel, u will need a steering wheel puller, they are cheap and all auto parts stores have them, after the wheel is off the clock spring is right there and held on by 3 or 4 screws, varies with year. WARNING!! FAILURE TO DISARM THE AIRBAG CAN CAUSE SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH!!!

Cruise control and horn do not work ??

Dodge has a recall on the clock spring. The clock spring is more than likely what is causing your problem. It is located in the steering column, and allows continuity to the horn, cruise, and air bag. The contacts in these loose contact and cause this problem. It will sometimes cause the air bag light to come on also, but not all the time. If your fuses are good then it will prob be this.

I have an 04 Caravan 3.3L V6 Vin code "R". The airbag light came on intermittently then finally stayed on. Also about the same time, the horn and cruise control quit working. Are they related somehow?

Its the clock spring under your steering wheel its normally under warranty by the dealer its a recall should be no charge at all for them to check it and replace it

I have a 2001 Stratus. Airbag light stays on

That happened to me when the clock spring in the steering wheel broke. But the clock spring controls the air bags, horn and cruise control. Check if your horn and cruise control works. If not, I bet it's the clock spring from turning your wheel. It was about $150 to replace. Good luck!

Horn and cruise don't work

The horn and cruise is activated through a clock spring switch assembly located under the steering wheel. Diagnosis is done by removing the steering wheel . It also controls the airbag electrical so use caution..

Air bag light stays on

The Airbag, horn and cruise control share on common component. The clock spring inside the steering wheel. The clockspring is snapped into a plastic mounting platform on the steering column behind the steering wheel. The clockspring is used to maintain a continuous electrical circuit between the wiring harness and the driver's airbag module. This assembly consists of a flat ribbon like electrically conductive tape which winds and unwinds with the steering wheel rotation.
The clocksprings going bad is a common problem with Chrysler products. Since the Airbag is involved, I would recommend the dealer replace it. It is about a $175.00 to $200.00 repair. or you can try junk yards hope this help have a nice day.
