try google and ask the question "where is the location of the crankshaft position sensor for 1997 chysler cirrus 2.5 liter engine" or you can go to a parts store and ask for there help, or buy a repair manual it will show you the location.
crankshaft position sensor location for 3.3 V6 engine is mounted at the rear of the engine on transmission bellhousing, the 3.5 V6 engine crankshaft sensor located at front of the engine on the aluminum oil pan section below crankshaft pulley.replace the crankshaft position sensor remove heat shield disconnect the electrical connector the remove sensor retaining bolt then remove crankshaft sensor.after replacing crankshaft sensor you need to erase code if check light come back on.
well you did not list the engine . so here is all of them on the 2.0 or 2.4- 4 cyl the crank sensor is located behind the generator just abouve the oil filter mounted to the eng block. on the 2.5 V6-remove the speed control servo from the drivers side strut tower. (its located just under the distributer) remove the retaining bolt and pull the sensor straight up out of the transaxle housing
Either ASD relay in the fuse box in the front driver's side engine compartment or a burnt wire on the harness on the back of the motor going to the crankshaft position sensor.....
The relay can be swapped with one of the other relays because they are the same ones in the fuse box.
Changing the crankshaft will not solve the problem. Check all your connector to all the sensor. That you replaced . Look corrosion at connection points, also check your grounds
