I recently discovered my license plate light doesn't work so I changed the bulb; nothing. I checked the fuse; nothing. So I took the bulb cover back off and starting investigating the wire and wouldn't you know; the wire was attached to anything. Actually it consists of two black wires coming out of the base. Where do I reattach the wires to? I can see where my tow hitch wires lead, and the brake lights but not for the license plate.
Well if you can see that you have 2 black wires on No plate light and you can see the rear lights then get a test light and turn on the parking lights with test lighttest light to earth and the point stick into wires on rear light till it lights then run wire from there to No plate...1 wire will go to light and 1 to Earth put earth to earth screw and other to No plate lisht good

I sorta understand what Ronaldbrains is trying to tell me, but it doesn't make enough sense. By the way, my spare tire is in the way which is why I can't see where to reattach the wires too. I was hoping someone could tell me before I went through all the trouble of moving that damn tire.
I was messing with the wiring on my 2003 cbr600 to rewire my license plate lights and somehow managed to ether disconnect or mess up a wire that connects to the speedometer so now it doesn't work nor does the n light any advice on how to fix this?
