2002 chevy silverado 4x4, brakes

2002 chevy silverado 4x4, all the brake lines rusted out so I replaced all of the lines, replaced all of the bleeder screws and one calliper. I blead all of the lines and even gravity blead the system, and am still getting a soft pedal. any other way of finding out if something else is wrong.

You need to bring it to a dealer so they can bleed the lines with a scan tool. You will get the soft pedal until then.

Did you bleed the brakes in the proper order? RR LR RF LF. check rubber lines for deterioration or BULGING when you apply brakes.

I can't get the brakes to bleed

Do you have someone slowly pressing on brake
pedal,as you open the bleeder valve & close before
the pedal reaches the floor & repeat 8 times or so

You never pump brakes when driving or bleeding

Do not let the master run dry or you start over

I never had that issue in 48 years & I have no special
abilities

How do you bleed the brakes on a 2002 chevy silverado? Tried the old fashion way and no go

you have to bleed them all, starting at the passenger side rear,, then the drivers rear, up to the passenger front, and finally the drivers side front. and it takes forever unless you have a bleeding tool, autozone and a couple of other parts stores have a reversal tool that you can borrow or rent,, it comes with a pump and you have to buy brake fluid for it,, you attach it to the bleeder valve on each brake, and instead of using the master cylinder to force air out at the brake itself, it goes the other way,, it fills the lines from the brake to the master cylinder, forcing the air to the master instead,, but I would try doing them in the order I stated first ,

2000 Chev Silverado 2500, Brake lines rusted and cracked loosing all fluid. replaced all lines. Got front to bleed sucessfully, but no oil to back brakes. what do I have to do to bleed back brakes?

Try opening a front bleeder and depress the pedal ALL the way, should feel a light "tic" as it reaches the bottom, close the bleeder and try to bleed the rear again, but instead of pumping ,just take the master cover off ,open the rear bleeders and wait 10 min or so for the fluid to gravity bleed out the air. Thinking the proportioning valve is tripped so no fluid is allowed to reach the rear, opening the front should reset the valve . If there is alot of air the valve will just trip again if you pump the pedal, hence the gravity bleed.

Where are the bleeders for the brakes located on the 1999 chevy silverado

On disk brakes, the bleeder is near the top of the caliper pointing toward the inside.

On drum brakes, the bleeder is above the axle bearing just above where the brake line attaches. If you have more questions or need instructions please let us know.

2002 tahoe breaks lock up during driving

It sounds like the rear calipers are bad. Raise the rear wheels and see if you can turn the tires. If you can't, open the bleeder. If you still can't replace the caliper. If you can turn the wheel after you open the bleeder, replace the brake hose to that wheel.

1999 Chevy S10 Blazer 4x4. Replacing rear pad's,& Bleeding Breaks

have one person in the blazer pumping the brake pedal and then hold to the floor, crack the bleeder then tighten, release pedal, repeat till all air is out one side at a time, if this does not work then your ABS unit is bad witch if u follow your lines from your master cylinder u will find a black box with a motor on it, or the master cylinder itself is bad, it also can cause u to have no pedal, replace the master cylinder first, most likely cheaper.
