Hi, had factory integrated back up camera installed in my Mercedes C300 and now front right TPMS sensor reading is blank. what could be the issue?

Doesn't have a CJB , has SJB - smart junction box . Computer with fuse box in one .
Removal
NOTE: Prior to removal of the SJB, it is necessary to upload module configuration information to a scan tool.
NOTE: The tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) functionality is integral to the SJB.
NOTE: A new SJB module is delivered in manufacturing mode with pre-set DTCs. These DTCs require that the TPMS sensor training procedure be carried out in order for the DTCs to be cleared. The pre-set DTCs are as follows:

• B2868 - Left Front Tire Pressure Sensor Fault
• B2869 - Right Front Tire Pressure Sensor Fault
• B2870 - Right Rear Tire Pressure Sensor Fault
• B2871 - Left Rear Tire Pressure Sensor Fault
• C2780 - ECU in Manufacturer Sub-State

1. Upload the module configuration information from the SJB. For additional information, refer to Section 418-01 .

1. Disconnect the battery. For additional information, refer to Section 414-01 .

1. Remove the transmission selector lever bezel from the floor console finish panel.

1. Apply the parking brake.

1. Remove the parking brake lever boot from the floor console finish panel.

1. Disconnect the electrical connectors and remove the SJB.

Then you will need a factory service manual
or go to a tire store to learn about the TPMS

Use this if you're installing winter wheels/tires that have sensors already installed, or even if you are just doing a tire rotation. Not sure if this has been posted before. I tried searching but didn't see it posted anywhere. No need to go and buy the TPMS learning tool.

1) Make sure your tiresare inflated to the recommended psi. Mine is 40psi.

2) Turn ignition to the on position. If you have a push button start, push the start button without pressing the brake pedal.

3) Push the hazard light button 6 times. The horn should honk and you should see "Train left front tire" in the LCD display between the tach and speedo.

4) Release air pressure in the front left tireuntil you hear the horn honk. The LCD display should now read "Train right front tire".

5) Release air pressure in the right front tire until you hear the horn honk.

6) Repeat for the the right rear tire, and then the left rear tire.

7) You should now see "Training Complete" in the LCD display.

8) Fill your tiresback up to the recommended pressure.

If its reading low and the tire pressure is correct there is a problem with that sensor. Typically they need to be replaced in order to correct the problem. A TPMS tool capable of displaying TPMS sensor data would confirm the bad reading.

They display the tire pressure as a convenience. They don't have to display the pressures and many makes/models do not.

The level of sophistication with these systems is slowly improving. Many newer models will automatically know where the tire is and display it correctly. Unfortunately yours need to be relearned manually after every tire rotation which is very common with earlier systems. It is assumed that this is done after every tire rotation which would then make the displayed tire locations correct.

If you are confident that the correct tire location is being displayed than I wouldn't see any issue with replacing that sensor. If you are not confident the correct tire location is being displayed than it wouldn't be a bad idea to do a relearn procedure.

The TPMS matching process is outlined below:
1. Set the parking brake.
2. Turn the ignition switch to ON/RUN with the
engine off.
3. Press and hold the Remote Keyless Entry (RKE)
transmitter's LOCK and UNLOCK buttons, at the
same time, for about five seconds to start the TPMS
learn mode. The horn sounds twice indicating the
TPMS receiver is ready and in learn mode.
4. Start with the driver side front tire. The driver side
front turn signal also comes on to indicate that
corner's sensor is ready to be learned.
5. Remove the valve cap from the tire's valve
stem. Activate the TPMS sensor by increasing
or decreasing the tire's air pressure for about
eight seconds. The horn chirp, can take up to
30 seconds to sound. It chirps one time and then
all the turn signals flash one time to confirm the
sensor identification code has been matched to
the tire/wheel position.
6. The passenger side front turn signal comes on to
indicate that corner sensor is ready to be learned.
Proceed to the passenger side front tire and
repeat the procedure in Step 5.
7. The passenger side rear turn signal comes on to
indicate that corner sensor is ready to be learned.
Proceed to the passenger side rear tire and
repeat the procedure in Step 5.
8. The driver side rear turn signal comes on to
indicate that corner sensor is ready to be learned.
Proceed to the driver side rear tire, and repeat
the procedure in Step 5.
9. After hearing the single horn chirp for the driver
side rear tire, two additional horn chirps sound
to indicate the tire learning process is done.
Turn the ignition switch to LOCK/OFF.
If no tires are learned after entering the TPMS learn
mode, or if communication with the receiver stops, or
if the time limit has expired, turn the ignition switch to
LOCK/OFF and start over beginning with Step 2.
10. Set all four tires to the recommended air pressure
level as indicated on the Tire and Loading
Information label.
11. Put the valve caps back on the valve stems.

I have never gone to a dealer in 47 years,because of what
you experienced,I do all my own work

I do however, purchase new vehicles, I only order from the factory,
and use the warrantee at the dealership,then I have a complete
set of factory manuals, for all my vehicles.

Each vehicle wheel has it's own TPMS Sensor, with it's proper
frequency. The internal batteries are suppost to last 8 years,maybe!

I would go to a local tire only store, for wheel service.

Your story is why I am on this site,to help others on here,
because it boils my blood. I could go on forever, with 50
years of auto repair tension.

That said,I owned a trans repair shop, and it wasn't like
you experienced. Not good dealing with the public,something
I didn't expect, but never treated people unfairly, as Dealers do.

You should be able to read your owners manual to do your Key FOB

If you had no check light on then,your tire monitor was receiving
each tires position on your vehicle
Each wheel is independent but they may have referenced some
reporting to the vehicles systems, that wasn't understood in their
explaination

The charging you for anything, is done by the service adviser out front
You seldom get to talk to a tech,and by the way, check your in and out
mileage,some dealers never road test, even for a drivability issues,
ford and lincoln,they follow some dumb factory protocol, in the service
bay. Ever try to get a COP Ignition Coil to miss, starring at the vehicle
will it idles, and you have coffee. I have fixed more lincoln ls issues
than a dealer ever heard of.

i would wait untill u get your new tyres fitted before reseting the light and also the tyre place you get them fitted at could do it for you

It is on the same button as the Trip Odometer. Cycle through until you see Tire Reset and hold the button down.
