Are you talking about the cruise control button? If so, there're 2 screws, maybe torx type. After unscrewed, should be able to remove the controller and replace. Just plug and play...
Possible broken control knob button on heater control unit. Pull button off ( if possible ) and inspect back side for being broken/cracked. All the buttons should be the same and can be interchanged on the controller. Try switching with another to see if problem is corrected. If not, possible internal controller issue or blend door motor not operating properly
You should definitely have to push th button to get from forward to reverse. If not the gate at the base of shifter has broken and will need to be replaced
With a DVOM on ohms you can test switch operation at the base of the steering column. STAY AWAY FROM YELLOW CONNECTORS THESE ARE AIR BAG CIRCUITS. all test good then possible servo cable is broken.
Way under your dash beneath the steering wheel you can probably feel two small buttons on either side of the steering column. One is for your cruise control I believe, and the other controls your rear brake lights. You probably noticed some broken black pieces of plastic on your floorboard. That's the broken plug that kept the button pushed in to turn your lights off. Replace the plug and the lights will go off.
You will most likely have to remove the control panel from the dash. Check for any broken hoses and any broken or loose wires. If everything checks out ok, than the control itself may have to be replaced.
