More likely your light switch has failed.

I'd still vote for the bulb being bad. The high and low beams use two different filaments, so unless the bulb is physically broken, it is common for the low beam to be bad whilst the high beam is good.

That's why you see some people driving around with their high beams on -- they don't want to get stopped for a 'light out' citation..

When you take the bulb out to replace it, be sure to look at how it is mounted before removing. You don't want to accidently adjust your headling out of kilter.

good luck

Could be the relay for the lowbeams is faulty, if your DRL's are your lowbeams, then your DRL Unit could be bad. Also did you blow a fuse cuz a random surge could blow the fuse

SOURCE: low beam not working but high beam is-Pontiac Vibe 2005

I have heard it could be the Daylight Running Light module located under the dash above the brake pedal. The module controls both the daytime running lights and the low beam lights. The high beams are independent of this module.

I have the same problem. I am trying to buy a new module.

Headlight low beams (both sides) suddenly stopped working. High beams and all other lights fine, fuses fine. 12v present at low beam fuse when switched on.

How do two bulbs burn out at the same time? - makes no sense! If sure that the fuse is definitely good, then check out the power switch and/or relay that feeds the low beams - it could be bogus.

First check light relay fuse, if ok check battery voltage at low beam light terminal, if ok replace low beam bulb, if no voltage check switch side of relay, if voltage replace relay, if no voltage check headlight low beam switch.

I have a mazda 6 that has a headlight problem, low beams do not work and high beams do. It started with one light goning out and next time i started the car the second one went out. Also front makers went...

if your vehicle has H4 headlight bulbs fitted you will find that they have both high & low beam filaments in them, what has most likely happened is that the low beam filaments are blown & the bulbs need to be replaced, also you may find that high & low beam circuits are on separate fuses, & also the front markers may have there own fuse check the fuses as well.......hope this helps......cheers.

Both low beam headlights are out. High beams still work. Could a fuse be responsible?

Check the relay headlight low beam and the fuse, and the gound wire!

The other possible malfunction would be the LiGHT SWiTCH.

Check on that first and tell me.... if u haven't got the know how, i'll guide u to fix it or u might go to ur nearest mechanic to assess the problem.
