Air conditioner blows hot air inadvertantly.

1997 Concorde air conditioner can be working well then all of a sudden it begins to blow hot air. No matter what switches you hit, hot air continues to blow and you can't turn the hot air off. This is no fun on a hot summer day. Have any idea what's wrong?

You have a short circuit somewhere in your wiring. Use the Continuity setting in your electrical tester to find the wire that's shorted to the car frame.

Could be a blockage in the lines to the rear unit.
Might be low on freon too. Or a blend door problem.

Air conditioning unit blows air but only hot air.

Go get freon. you can get it at any auto part store, i had the same problem.. Just make sure you use the right tip, as it will spray all over and will cause frost bite.
