Neutral Safety Switch may be out of rotational adjustment on the column.
And'/Or the Brake Switch is bad and is causing the Park lock to not release when pressing on the brake pedal.
It could be the park safety that works off of your brake switch , may need to be replaced , it is under the dash hooks to brake lever, don't know if you can adjust it or just hook it back up try holding more pressure on brake , please let us know what happens , Thank You .
check and see if the brake lights work, if not that is the problem (poss switch at brake pedal), the park position is locked out by a small pin that is pulled back by a electric solenoid that is activated when you step on the brakes, it is called the park interlock, and is a safety feature, if the brake lights do work you will need to drop the steering column and test for pwer to the park pull solenoid I just mentioned above, check the owners manual as well on this issue.
