THAT FUSE MEANS THAT POWER FEED IS SHORTED
THAT FUSE Prevented a fire. that is its job.

you need the shop manual to find all things that fuse feeds
you can be sure it is no just 1 thing,
the isolate (means unpllug) things on that feed to find out which device is shorted. (one is or there wires)

SOURCE: engine 1 fuse keeps blowing when you turn the key

Engine 1 fuse powers the computer and some sensors. I had this same problem on a 98 chevy van 3500 and found the wire going to one of the oxygen sensors had shorted out on the heat shield. Inspect the wires going to all of the oxygen sensors. On this van one of the oxygen sensors on the driverside the wire was laying on the heat shield which eventually rubbed through the wire and shorted it out blowing the fuse. Your short could be on a different sensor but check all of the oxygen sensors because the wire runs so close to the sharp heat shield.

SOURCE: on my 2007 suzuki forenza the check engine light

no such code on that car, auto zone uses global testing which pulls universal codes, so that code means someting different for the suzuki, need to have it checked by the dealer or a shop that has import software, or post the code # and i can translate it into import code, good luck.

SOURCE: where is the throttle position sensor on a 2007

on a 2006 it is on the throttle body at the throttle plate. There are actually three TPS sensors in this configuration. One attached to the gas pedal. One attached to the throtle body And, one located inside the top of the engine block. The defective TPS sensor is removable with four screws. American Suzuki has to be a pain in the *** by selling it only as part of the entire throttle body.

04 Suzuki Forenza as soon as I plug in the fuse the fuse blows it's the IGN fuse number 2 number ones okay number to keep blowing as soon as i plug in no key In the ignition

that means one of the loads on the fuse is shorted.
what you are missing is a real schmatic of the car.
why not read that first.
then pull all loads on that fuse 1 by 1,
or put them back 1 by 1, (better) to see which load blows that fuse.
no engine stated, there are like 5,... and wiring varies by that.
alldata.com has that, (fast)
or so does suzukipitstop. the real FSM it is.
ive posted both links 100 + times here.
IGN2 shorts. ill look for you. .....

first off , does fuse blow key on only
or only cranking engine??????

that fuse IGN2, runs fuse 5,6,7,8
so pull those and see if the short goes away.
if it blows only cranking the starter, then that is what is shorted,
the starter key line.
if how ever (im reading the real schmatic) the fuse blows only keyon.
then its is 5,6,7,8 is shorted. loads to one of those 4.
so pull them.
F5- not used
F6- a/c , defrog, pwer windows, headlights and DRL
F7- blower and A/C
F8- mirror.

once we know the Fx that blows above.
we then can start removing those loads.
that is how shorts are found , (unless you have the schematic like I have and the amp clamp meter, so i can see what load is shorted
the easy way ,there is no other way ,but to pull loads on the Failing branch.)

end sorts 101.

  • If you don't replace the throttle body, eventually, you will not have a response when you accelerate (press on the gas pedal) Soon, you won't be driving anywhere. You should replace it as soon as you can.

My 07 Suzuki Forenza wont start unless you tap gear shift and sometimes the key just turns as if battery is dead. then you hit the gear shifter to the left and it starts. Any ideas what this could be ?

I think you have a bad neutral safety switch. This switch is located on the transmission and keeps the car from starting while in gear.Soon, tapping on the shifter will not work - you need to change ( or have changed) the switch before it strands you somewhere. Is it still under warranty or did you get the extended warranty from the dealer? It should be covered if the answer to either is yes. Good luck and thanks for using Fixya!!
