SOURCE: 2004 Toyota Camry Brakes

Raise the vehicle up and remove the rims & tires

Remove the brake pads, and then remove the calipers from the caliper retention brackets, do NOT remove the brake hoses from the calipers.

Remove the caliper retaining brackets from the hub assemblies (2 large bolts on backside of the bracket)

Tap the brake rotors off of the hubs, hit them from the back side of the rotor.

No big mysteries here, this is a very easy job.

P0420 indicates you have a catalyst efficiency issue; replacement of the Air-Fuel Sensor should take care of that;
The P0441, P0446 and (I assume P0440); you said 446 twice, indicates a faulty or loose fuel cap; it is not sealing properly.
Please feel free to respond to me if you have any further questions.
A FixYa rating from you regarding my assistance would be greatly appreciated.

SOURCE: toyota radio code

Johnny5486:

Emissionwiz is correct, but, his information is for older Model Camrys.

The 2003 "factory-installed" radios in the Camry product line does not have an anti-theft feature, and, because of having no anti-theft feature, there is no reactivation code. If you have a dead battery, the only thing you will lose regarding the radio functions would be the radio stations that you programmed into the memory. The radio will function properly after a dead battery is replaced with no issues.

SOURCE: 1993 Toyota Camry V6 Timing Settings

Get a T belt from toyota. It has 3 white lines on it and and arrow mark. 2 lines are solid and one is broken. Put the arrow facing away from the engine. The cam gears have a dot punched into them near a certain tooth. This is where the solid white lines will line up with. The crank gear will have a dot also. It will line up at 90 degrees from the top, towards the front of the car. This is where the broken line will match up with. With the belt installed with all lines on their proper dots and arrow away from the engine, you valve timming is correct.
Of course you need to remove and compress the tensioner also. I assume you know this already since you didn't ask.

SOURCE: i have installed a new

There is only 1 "set" of timing marks. If there is more than 1 then someone has modified your engine components. Here is a picture of where they should be.

Hi I have a 04 Camry and have a p2121 code TPS /apps sensor problem I wonder how u can nail down with parts is wrong or how to fix the problem?

Sometimes these codes are correct about the problem and sometimes they aren't, I ould suggest getting a service manual for a 2004 Camry and following the directions in it to find out for sure. Service manuals are helpful and have helped me fix problems before.

Need to change out the camshaft sensor on a 2005 camry. Where is it.

Since the cam sensor reads the cam position, depending on if you have a 4 cyl or a V6 engine, the sensor should be on one end of the cylinder head.

Timing chain or belt?

The 2002-2006 Camry received the next generation 2.4L 4-cylinder engine (model 2AZ-FE), which combines decent power with excellent fuel economy. This engine does not have a timing belt, it has a chain that does not need to be replaced.
The second choice is very smooth and powerful 3.0-liter 24-valve all-aluminum V6 engine.
Starting from 2004, the 3.3-liter V6 DOHC VVT-i engine is available on SE V6 model.
Both, the 3.0L and 3.3L V6 engines have a timing belt that must be replaced at certain interval

On a 04 camry with 2.4 ltr engine, can I replace just the throttle position sensor or do i have to replace the entire throttle body? The engine code said faulty throttle body.

I think the terms "Throttle Positon Sensor", TPS and "Throttle Body" can be misleading at least in regards to the 04 Camry.

My 04 Camry gave a diagnostic reading of P2121 for my problem "Throttle PEDAL position switch D circuit". However, we changed out the complete Throttle Body/TPS (Toyota Part #22030-0H020) that did NOT fix problem.

The 04 Camry TPS Electronic Module "Throttle Positon Sensor" is factory assembled and riveted to the side of the throttle body. The only way to service/inspect it would be to cut off or drill out the rivets. Not sure you could open the darn thing if you got it off, but that seems to be the only way Toyota sells them!!

Hopefully a new Throttle PEDAL Position Sensor (Toyota Part # 78010-33010 PEDAL ASSY, ACC)
will fix it. This is located under the dash near the accelerator pedal.

So, now I would recommend FIRST to replace the "Throttle PEDAL Positon Sensor" (it is much, much cheaper) and then the Throttle Body/TPS assembly!! Unless of course, you get a diagnostic code as you did for "faulty throttle body!!
