OBD-Codes.comhttps://www.obd-codes.com > p0704
has detected a malfunction in the clutch switch input circuit. This code is applicable to vehicles equipped with manual transmissions, exclusively.
Missing: Liberty 3.7
Al North American cars use OBD 2. The codes are standard however there is a section for specific vehicles, but they are OBD 2 codes. Whomever gave you the should have told what the code meant. Always look online of OBD 2 codes they are free and readily available.
You have miss read or typed 2 of the codes P0309 = PO309 = Cylinder 9 Misfire Detected, P186 = nothing, P1860 = TCC PWM Solenoid Circuit Electrical, PO186 = Fuel Temp Sensor ''B''. The one you may have got right P0704 = PO704 = Clutch Pedal Position Switch Circuit.
Well code 704 is usually found on vehicles with a manual trans. The code means the computer is not getting a signal from the clutch switch.
You may need to check a Caravan shop manual to find out if that code exists on automatic trans models.
Code P0441 seems to relate to the EVAP Emission Control System. Either there is a blockage or a leak in one of the valves (N80 or N115) or the pipes between throttle body and tank breather are broken.
Code P0704 seems to be a faulty clutch pedal position switch
Unfortunately the 0700 series of numbers relate to the transmission. Code ( P0701) is pushed by 1- Open or short transmission control system circuit. 2 - Poor transmission control system electrical connection. 3 - Check powers and grounds to Transmission Control Module (TCM). Code P0704 is pushed by 1- Faulty Clutch Switch.
2 - Misadjusted Clutch Switch. 3 - Clutch Switch harness is open or shorted. 3 - Clutch Switch circuit poor electrical connection. 4 - Faulty Engine Control Module (ECM). But I'm guessing you have an automatic trans. right. If so I would look at the (DTR) digital transmission range sensor.
Clutch Pedal Position Switch is not working properly. What it does it sends signal to your engine at different pedal angles so the engine calculates values to be assigned to different systems.
Possible Causes: - Open or short clutch switch circuit - Poor clutch switch circuit connection - Damage clutch switch - Misadjusted clutch switch - Damaged ECM
Possible Solution: Check clutch switch adjustment, the switch should open and close when
the clutch pedal is depress. If the switch is properly adjusted,
replaced the clutch switch to resolve problem.
clutch switch input circuit malfunction
have no idea what this is sorry ,but i would hazard a guess and say that the front clutch operating solonoid is playing up and i think this may involve taking the gearbox out to repair it ,sorry about taking so long for a code but that AVG antivirus does horrible things to my programs .
