I HAVE A 2000 CADILLAC ESCALADE IT IS LEAKING POWER STERRING

I would take a look at the water pump. There is a weep hole on the water pump to indicate if the seals are going bad inside the water pump. This hole is located on the top of the water pump where the pulley mounts to it. If this is not the problem, then it could be a number of other problems.

I would check the following items, which I have listed in sequence of cost to repair.

1. check hoses and clamps, if leaking you should see areas that have build up of dried antifreeze.
2. check thermostat housing on top of intake where upper radiator hose connects to engine.
3. verify radiator is not leaking
4. intake gasket leaking
5. head gasket leaking

are you talking about brake fluid --power steering lines do not connect to the brake system --- also their is no weep hole at the bottom of the brake booster ---can you please clarify what is leaking and where --power steering lines from pump to radiator to steering rack ----brake booster mounted to fire wall with brake master cylinder bolted to front

What size engine?

I had the same problem with our 2004 escalade. I found a small rock blocking the back left seat post from engaging. after I moved the rock out, the seat engaged properly, and folded down aok!

Common problem with the 2000-2005 GM escalade and Denalli. You need to have the air intake or airflow sensor checked or replaced. worst scenario your air pump is leaking

Most of the PS pressure hoses are Compression Fittings. If the fitting is straight on and is clean on the inside before you seated the hose, there may be a burr of the pump side where the fitting sits. Some of these fittings are replaceable and others require a new pump. Check your new hose also for cracks where the pipe section of the hose is that looks sort of like a trumpet end. If the fitting is in good shape, the pump fitting is clean and unmarred, you may need to tighten the hose a little more.

disconnect the cable from the negative battery cable,remove drivebelt,detach hydraulic lines from pump,remove pump mounting bolts and detach pump from the engine.

you could have a leaking hose a bad water pump or a bad heater core...its going to be one of those things,,,

If you have checked the belt (it still has one that is) the grinding noise will be the pump but the loss of fluid could also be the steering rack at fault, try to find out where its leaking from
