Question about Ford Cars & Trucks
The posts run horizontal and face the firewall. If you were looking at the frontside (Post Side) the firing configuration is. Cyl.4 (Top Left), Cyl.1 (Top Right), Cyl. 2 (Bottom Left), Cyl. 3 (Bottom Right).

same engine, same year only difference is bore size so there is every chance that it will fit.

If it's got a crank sensor I'd be starting there as if the crank sensor not working then no spark. Test the wires etc

You will need the dealer or a well equipped shop to scan the security system to see what fault is present and causing this problem. Does this happen with both keys?
