I need a lot more information from you to help. There are a number of unknown potential reasons the battery and charging system are still not working. More than likely the new parts are ok but you can not assume that they are. Suspect everything. Do you have any test equipment to check the battery and charging system state? I need you to charge the battery back to 100 percent. We don't know if there is a short or parasitic draw so disconnect the battery before charging. After the battery is charged *BE CAREFUL*. Have safety glasses and water readily available if the battery explodes. You need to quickly wash the acid off your body. Note: Immediately wash your clothing or just throw them away. Battery acid will ruin clothing if the acid isn't diluted soon. I'm a master mechanic. In my life so far I have had two defective batteries explode in my face. Thank GOD I was wearing the safety glasses. Now load test battery. If not possible, hold off and temporarily connect the battery terminals. Connect the positive side first then momentarily connect the negative side. Was there a big blueish wight ark? If so, remove the terminal for a breif second and reconnect the ground again. Did it have the same big large ark or was it mild or tiny this time? If the spark was mild install both battery terminals and tighten. Start the car verify that the alternator is charging. What is it charging at at idle? At 1500 RPMS? What is it charging at with the heater on (At high speed) and high beams are on too. The alternator should support the system between 13.5 to 14.5 volts. Run your tests, write down your results and let me know if you are all set or need more help. Good luck.

After disconnecting the battery overnight does it hold its charge? if not, its the battery. if it does then you have something draining it and this could take a bit of finding, is the radio draining it? you might think its off when it not, remove the fuse for the radio and try again. Have you got any mobile phone in car set up fitted? this is also a favorite for draining the battery. It has been known for the alternator itself to be faulty but as you have had this replaced with a new one, you can rule this out for now. interior lights is another possibility (the dim feature if fitted) or if you have a light fitted in the boot or bonnet, (trunk or hood) removal of fuses one component at a time should help you in pinpointing the culprit, but as I said if you know the battery is fully charged, disconnect it overnight and see if it is still charged in the morning when you reconnect it. There are other ways to find the problem but unless you are an auto electrician there is no point in telling you as you wont have the equipment to use, that by the way is your final option, take it to an auto electrician.

well are you sure that you have a good or it just shows the correct
amount of voltage. which that should 12.6 volts for a fully charged
battery. to actually answer your question, (assuming)
you do have a good battery your alt. shouldn't keep it from cranking
unless it is locked up, but you would use a digital volt meter and
select the d.c. volts setting touch the red (positive lead) to the red
(positive post) on the battery and the ground ( black lead ) to the
ground terminal on the battery (negative post). it should read very
close to 14 volts. if not check to see if you are getting voltage to
your alt. by using your volt meter to test the power wire going to your
alt. it will be the one on the backside of your alt with a protective
boot over it. with your volt meter still set on dc volts touch your
black lead lead to a good ground and your red lead to your power wire
going to your alt. it should have 12 volts there. if not check your
fuses. if your car clicks when you try to start it then you may have a
bad battery connection. dirty terminals with corrosion built up on them
will do the same thing. also a starter that is bad will click because
the bendix can't kick out to engage the flywheel to turn your engine
over. well hope i answered your question and then some.

voltage regulator. it may be in the alternator, or remote mounted. ((the alternator can be charging, but if voltage regulator is'nt working then it won't allow voltage to get back to the battery to keep it charged
