Just bought to just have something to get around in for now a 1999 Toyota Camry and just noticed that going down the road its sputtering some. What should I check first to start figuring out what it could be. Have not had time to check yet. Thanks.

Pull an O2 sensor before the catalytic convert. If it starts, replace the cat.

Many things from bad fuel, bad plugs, bad plug wires, to plugged lines or fuel pump going bad.

Check the fuel pump , filter, throttle position sensor.

have you had the fuel pressure regulator check

It might a weak fuel pump cindy

Check the spark plugs for the proper gap (0.044 in) and if the ignition wires are old they might need to be replaced.

change your relays and fuses also put more ac gas

Hi! As a first course of action I strongly suggest that you replace the transmission fluid. The fluid may be burnt that can cause the car to cut off on downhill. Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa!

It is a wheel bearing issue. consider servicing your wheels and brakes.
