The cigarette fuse is located in the battery junction box under the hood, it is fuse # 10 and is a 20A fuse, open the hood and find the box it is on the passenger side towards the back of the compartment, it is 10th in line on the top row, also you can check these fuses without removing them through the clear plastic top so that should make things a little easier too, hope this helps

The fuse for the cigarette lighter/auxillary power is located in the under hood fuse/relay block. It is a 20 amp ATM (mini) fuse. It is fuse #34 and is yellow. The location will be shown on the underside of the fuse box cover. Look along the drivers and passenger side inner fender areas for the fuse box. Charlie

on my 2000 malibu they are in the under hood fuse box on drivers side. the lighter is one of the mini fuses # 34, hope this helps,

The fuse you are looking for is in the instrument panel fuse box located inside the vehicle. It's a little different between the hatchback and the sedan but the panels are in the same location. Below i gave you a picture of the location for both of them. If you have the hatchback, the fuse you are looking for wil be marked "LTR" and if you have the sedan it will be the one marked cigar (see layout of fuses below for both below).
