Is your check engine light on...need to have it check for trouble codes first.

Sounds like you need a complete tune up. If it's been a long time and the plugs are bad then that's the reason. Complete means new wires, rotor cap, spark plugs.

SOURCE: hyundai accent stops running after heats up

I had the exact smae problem and threw aaway a ton of money on bad "guesses" at what was wrong. The actual fix was replacing the crank shaft position sensor for 50 or 60 bucks. Swapped out bad for good and cars has run great every day since.

SOURCE: Clutch pedal low near floor, can the clutch be adjusted?

hi the clutch on accent is hydraulic operation so if pedal is very low on disengaging clutch ? you may have a problem with the hydraulics 1st thing to check is fluid level? this is the reservoir that feeds both brakes and clutch but is seperaterated inside if fluid low? top up and bleed the slave cyl however if fluid low indicates a leak ? possibly slave cyl? if no loss of fluid ? then prob may be fault in the master cyl ? check fluid come back with any update please ps if this problem has just occured? check for leaks ?

SOURCE: 2001 hyundai accent clutch feels spongy and the

seems to be a worn clutch... Take/Tow your vehicle to an authorized Hyundai dealership and pay the diagnostic fee... they will tell you exactly what the problem is and the cost of parts/labor to fix it... at least this way you'll know what the problem is and what's required to fix it.

2003 Hyundai Accent 1.6 suction pipe plate O-ring size. What type.

Question edited for clarity and spelling of maker 'hyundia' to 'Hyundai'.
Question moved to model category.

The easiest way is to remove the old one and take it to a parts store or just buy a box of assorted O-rings for $10 from Canadian Tire or Home Depot.

Electronic connector for brakes on Hyundai Accent

hi from uk the part you mention is the brake stop light switch it has a plug on 2xwire plug it operates by as pedal is pressed the plunger of switch moves out and connects the 2xwire circuit and so brake lights operate this switch simply unscrews from the pedal box/carriage after plug removed then the new switch screwed in place and with b/pedal off the switch is screwed to a point that if you press pedal down approx 1/2 " the switch plunger moves out and b/lights come on this is trial/error untill you are happy with the pedal movement down till lights operate SIMPLE ! hope this helps?

Transmition problem

It might not be the transmission. IF your needle is dropping that rapidly, more than likely you need to have your speedometer inspected UNLESS you feel your car **** and rapidly slow down from 100km to 80km. Then it's quite possibly a transmission issue.

IF you step on the gas, and you just feel the normal light push from stepping on the accelerator pedal and your needle is still dropping and moving, have the speedometer cable inspected as well as the speed sensor. One of the two, or even both, could be causing this problem.

~Hope this helps...
