this is a factory alarm, the problem is the alarm is active, you will need to use the door locks to turn alarm off, insert key in driversdoor and lock and then unlock door this will turn alarm off, if that doesnt work then use pass/side door, the lock has a built in switch that knows when the door is locked or opened, the driversdoor may have a bad switch so inturn the computer thinks the door was forced opened without key and it is turning alarm on, so again use the key to unlock door try the pass/side if driversdoor doesnt work. good day
Okay try locking the door with the key and then unlocking it, this should sut down the alarm if it doesnt then try the pass/side door lock with key, the switch on the drivers door lock may be bad, also i'm not sure if this is a factory alarm or not. hope this helps.
Hook up the battery, then put your key in the door lock and lock and unlock the door. That should cancel the antitheft. If it doesnt work on the drivers side move to the pass. side door.
You might try locking all the doors from the inside and then closing them all. Then try unlocking the car with the key itself (NOT THE FOB) manualy. Try a combination of these things, like maybe locking it manualy with the key itself too. Usualy some sort of locking or unlocking manualy with the key will reset the system. Its almost luike proving to the car that you are who you say you are.
It means that the remote is not passing the signal to the car . The alarm has triggered because the system has detected an illegal entry. Replace the remote batteries
Some models in America or Europe have this feature for safety to prevent you falling out(can think how) of the car while driving or for stopping hijackings sadly.I have a 1998 passat that if you dont open a door on activating the fob to open the car, it will lock itself in 30 seconds and this has been also passed onto the new series&models.
Are you hearing any noises from the pass door when you activate the lock switch? If not, the power door lock solenoid has failed, and prob needs to be replaced. Pull the door panel & check to see if it is getting power to the solenoid in lock & unlock. If it has power, the solenoid is def bad.
