Going 1945 wipers on a 1988 car, really?
I can not understand this post, at all
starting with REPLACING.
the car came with electric wipers. for sure.
you gave no clues at all on where you get Vacuum wipers as seen on 1940s cars, no clues of what and why. at all.

First thing just try to push or pull the 4x4 lever if you get it to move and it feels like it went into some gear try to drive the truck.If this works look on the shifter for the 4x4 and put it in 2 wheel drive (H2 is two wheel drive,H4 is 4x4 high,and L4 is 4x4 low range).Make sure you have the clutch depresed when you try to move the 4x4 lever.If you try this stuff with no fix try and look for clutch adjustment on the transmision you may need to adjust it or your clutch is bad.

The transmission doesn't have a dipstick but it does have a fill level plug located at the rear of the extension housing, just to the passengers side. It is a round plug with a 3/8 square hole in it.
Fill trans till oil overflows out of this hole.
Use VMX80 or similar.
