The fuel pump inside the fuel tank might have a bad armeture or brush failure. Have someone crank the engine with the key inside the vehicle while holding foot on brake pedal and e-brake on.
Take a large hammer and bang on the bottom of the fuel tank while the engine is cranking. This should wake up the pump. This is only a temp. fix if the truck starts. That was a sign that the pump has failed and should be replaced.
Good Luck.

SOURCE: Need timing marks for 93 chevy 454
Under the hood on the emissions decal should say what degre the timing should be set at. ther is a one wire plug that is brown with a black stripe u need to un plug befor seting the timing with a timing light . u can usually find that under the glove box or behind wher the fuel pump relay is . i think the timing is set at 4 degres on the timing pointer but look for the decal first too make sure im right.

do not think alarm would cause this do you have a check engine light on?? there is a coolant temp sensor that reports to pcm it could be out of range you need to hook vehicle to a scanner and check the temp that is being reported by coolant sensor when cold and when hot also may want to look at mass air flow sensor also have you even thought of ignition module what symptoms you have sounds just like an ignition module problem

probably check the fuel pump and buy a new one just in case.
The idle air control solenoid may be closing off .
