    Battery is brand new

Even though you have a newer battery, those tire pumps use a LOT of juice! So if you don't have a tester, put a battery charger on it, and charge it up. Also take a look at your battery connections on the top or side, are they clean and tight? Should not be able to move them(don't worry, won't get 'a poke' when it's not running, as it's low voltage) and between charging the battery and checking the cables are tight(you'd be surprised at how many shops or people forget to tighten one or the other) you should be good to go. Also make sure you don't have a interior light turned on, or glove box left open etc., all which will drain your battery.

You bought the battery before or after you drained it dead? Sounds like you have to charge the battery for a good 6 to 8 hours at a low amp charge. The longer the charging time at low amps will bring your battery back to full cold cranking amps. Also make sure your battery connects are clean, this is very important

Your battery is definitely dead. Jump start the car, or charge the battery. If the volt gauge is less that 12v or the charge light is on, with car running, you have charging issues...probably alternator.

Disconnect the battery, wait for 10-15 min then reconnect. It should reset any shortings.

Hi:
If you purchase the proper cigarette lighter from the parts department, you can plug it into one of your utility outlets on your dash.

SOURCE: My 2003 Saturn Ion remote trunk release won't

Check to make sure the button on the trunk latch is turned from manual unlock...they made that feature so only the key will work to open the trunk that way if someone breaks in the front of your car they can't hit the trunk release and get into the trunk...may be the same thing for your remote. Hope that helps.

SOURCE: What size is the fuse for the cigarette lighter for a 2004 Saturn Ion

You need an owners manual for fuses & lamps

If you find the location --you have the size

If you look at all the fuses-- you eliminate the question
& if a fuse is blown

SOURCE: I jump started another vechile using my 2003

Where did you hook up the jumper cables to the ion? I would start checking fuses. Hooking up the number cables in the wrong spot will blow fuses.

Check that using that pump didn't heat the wires connected to the port to the point where the coating melted off and is now touching metal and causing a serious parasitic drain.

Car will not start

A simple jump start with battery cables should get the car started and recharge the battery. If you don't like dealing with battery cables, there are products that attach from inside the car using the cigarette lighter to jump start the car that work very well.

Without hearing the noise, it is hard to diagnose. If you replaced the bearings and the noise level is correlated with the speed of the vehicle - I'd look at the wheels/tires. They may be out of balance or you could have a radial shift in one of the tires. Rotate the back tires to the front and front to back. See if that changes the pitch or noise level.

ACCESSORY POWER OUTLETS

I have a 2004 ION and the fuse is located behind the drivers side center console kick panel. The panel can be removed by tristing the large blastic screw near the left top of the kick panel. You can use a coin to do it. Once the panel is off relace fuse F20 and your god to go.
