I've Mercedes c200 1995 and when the fuel reached half of the tank the car stopped. Please inform me about the cause

Check gas cap. Or the hose you put the gas in at the tank. Your loosing vaccine pressure.

I am not familiar with this model however some cars have an in tank pump as well as an under bonnet pump. If the in tank pump fails the other pump can continue to pump fuel until the level gets too low in the tank.

You need to drop tank and empty it. clean insides with clean dry rag. No smoking, droplights or any flame source nearby when working!!! Change filter. Some water may remain in injection system. use dry gas in new fuel to mitigate effects.

yes they are similar. you would have to pull the tank out to fix this problem

Are you sure the fuel gage is reading accurately most gages just use a resistor to gage how much fuel is in the tank over time its easy for the gage to read off could be running out of gas unless you know for sure it still has a half a tank?

1995? it has 3 location 1 in the tank or on the side of the frame, more likey your fuel pump is in the tank and if in the tank the hose that feeds the FD in the tank is leaking, and thus no pressure to the fuel distributor

I have a MB,C180 Manual W202. Cuts out whilst driving.

This model has its fuel tank in two compartment. one on the right, the other on the left. When you fill it full tank, both sides will be filled. When engine is running, the fuel pump sucks fuel from only (RIGHT SIDE) of the compartment. And the excess fuel is sent back to the LEFT SIDE of the compartment via the return pipes.
When you reach half tank mark, the fuel in the RIGHT compartment dries out and the engine dies out but the fuel gage still show half tank.

This setup depended on the siphoning effect by the pipes in the tank to suck fuel from the other tank and send it to the pump side tank.

How do I drain the fuel tank on my 1987 Mercedes 300d turbo sedan?

leave the fuel line of the prefilter and turn on the ignition
the pump should work and pump the tank to near empty
use care as the fuel is very volatile and collect it in a bucket or other dish or fuel container

Hi... Mec C200 W203 2007 model it cut off when petrol is on half tank but when full no problem. .I have changed the fuel filter thinking it might be faulty but that didn't help. .I checked the return pipe...

Check valves may be faulty in the fuel line. Your gauge may not be working properly, showing 1/2 tank when it is actually empty. Have you checked how many miles till it stops? Also try this link.

check the hose in the fuel tank, the hose going out of the tank may have holes causing the fuel to go out and back to the tank.

well you have to take the fuel tank out and replace the fuel level float and i dont know but that may be electronic but if so it could get costly

How can i get to the fuel tank send unit only reads half full

well if you have it an empty fuel light came on to your dash, then you have travelled and just consumed the whole entire reserved gas in your tank, so when you are filling it up again, it will fill-up first the reservoir for your reserved gas then if it reach the minimum level of gas in your tank, then the fuel sensor unit will tell you now the exact amount of gas level on your gauge just keep filling it up (gas), DO not Press the entire trigger of the pump, just press it half way and moderate while filling -up gas so wont stop clicking and you thought that you have your tank full already but it was not.

The c280 just switched of whilst driving just cranks but does not
