Or better yet... Boost ur car get it running...then carefully safely remove the neg term from the battery ...if you're car dies ur alternator is not working and you need to replace it.
Or chg and test ur battery as stated above . However dirty tops on battery's can cause a drain. But if the cars charging system is working this should not.kill the battery. Also do you have anything new you installed ie a new radio etc maybe its pulling the power. Or do you have.a.truck or glovebox light on? Are your interior lights turning off when you shut he door. Troubleshooting these will help. Good luck

You have a draw on your battery or a bad battery. Fully charge your battery and then take it to be load tested. Many places will do this for free.

How do I find a electrical short changed the battery and still goes dead

When does it go dead ? Over night , while driving ? Two different diagnostic's ! If it goes dead while driving the alternator is not charging the battery . If it goes dead over night there is a parasitic drain on the battery , something is on , using current . You don't say what make , model and year vehicle but most all vehicles from the mid 80's on have a number of control modules (computers ) . They power down after a set amount of time , an sometimes they don't power down . There are videos on youtube showing how to find a key off power drain .

put kill where? at battery post, and is just a switch,
not those dynamic battery drop relays?
if the battery goes dead with the neg. lug pulled the battery is bad.
end of life , battery.
the lug pull never lies.... ever.
if stays ok now this is called battery phantom drain.

Hello Jr, The fact that the battery goes dead even with a kill switch would lead me to think the new battery is defective.

My 91 accord will lock and unlock the doors by its self at night till the battery goes dead?

I would suspect the door switch is the problem. Try disconnecting the switch at night and see if the problems stop, replace as necessary.

Battery all of a sudden goes dead over night. Load tested battery and it good. I disconnected the alternator over night and its still dead. Any thoughts as to what is running battey down. No lights...

did you check the boot light? I had that problem years ago and thats what it was.
If that is not the problem then you have something that is draining the power out and you should take it to a sparky who will track the problem in a shorter time than it will take you to find it

Battery goes dead often. Must jump or charge almost everyday

perhaps your problem is not so complicated. maybe one of your vanity mirror lights arent shutting off or something. go out in your car at night and look for light after your dome light shuts off.
