The headlight relay for a 1998 Dodge Dakota is located in the Power Distribution Center (PDC) under the hood. The PDC is a black box located on the driver's side of the engine compartment. The relay for the headlights is labeled on the underside of the PDC cover. You can refer to your owner's manual for a diagram of the PDC and the location of the headlight relay.

You can purchase R134a cans with a built in gauge so you don't overcharge... Assuming the system has not completely discharged, usually a can or less will do. Here is a link with some basic instructions:

SOURCE: Where is the asd relay on my 1990 dakota?

ASD is in the engine compartment fuse block.

The pump relay should be there also. Check your fuse panel in the truck though.

Fuses, Relays & Circuit Breakers The fuse panel box is to the right of the glove box with the glove box door opened or beneath the instrument panel (dashboard) on 1989-93 models.

SOURCE: 1998 dodge dakota, 5.2 v8. where is the fuel

Hello oldfarmer877: My name is Roger and I will be glad to help you. Your truck does not have a fuel filter like the older cars and trucks have. The fuel filter for your truck is part of the fuel module inside the fuel tank. To replace the filter would involve removal of the fuel tank. The actual filter is located inside of the fuel pressure regulator. Should you need further help please just ask. Please rate the answer. Thank You for using Fix Ya. Roger

Sounds like ur computer. When a computer goes out they seem to go in different ways. Also there should be main circuit relays either under the hood or on driver side dash. If you pop a main relay it will kill all main circuits to protect a circuit melt down. Hope this helps. Thanks Josh

My headlights blink off then back on, seems to happen when hot, and higher rpms. good voltage (14 volts) from alternator. nothing else turns off, only the headlights.

check the fuse, the headlamp relay and the wiring harness that goes to the lights. a vehicle that old is going to have wiring issues.

Daytime running headlights

It might be as simple as having the computer reflashed for canada and adding a relay. I would think the bcm will have to be programmed for sure
