How can i fix a hood release cord for jeep grand cherokee year 1995?

Grand Cherokee Limited Under Hood Light

No sir they will not interchange. i worked at a transmission shop for 7 years. the inline 6 has a 500 trans in it and the v8 has a 518 trans in it. the bellhousings are different.

OIL PRESSURE SWITCH-I'm not sure if this is the gauge sender, though. 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4WD 4.0L MFI 6cyl The Oil Pressure Switch is located: Under hood, passenger side, lower engine area, above oil pan, mounted in engine block.

This is the link to the interior panel, I have yet to find a diagram for under the hood.

Look for the electrical plung switch which is usually at the front hood corners. Trace the wire back towards the latch.

let me know if this looks correct. If not I will find another diagram. Available at google images

TRY WITH SOME HARD WIRE (WELDING WIRE) ABOUT 3MM THICK.
MAKE HOOK ON ONE END (5MM), AND IN THE MIDDLE, JUST UNDER THE HOOD,BETWIN HOOD AND FRONT GRILL, IN THE GAP YOU WILL SEE HOOD LOCK. IN THIS LOCK YOU WILL SEE SMAL HOLE. GO INSIDE WITH THE WIRE AND TURN IT (TRY LEFT OR RIGHT (DONT REMEMBER)), BUT HOOD WILL OPEN. HEPENED TO ME TOO TWO YEARS AGO.

Check the relays under the engine. Swich them around and see if it will actually run when you switch them/ Try ALL relays. I just had to do this on my 90 cherokee. The relays are only a couple bucks at any autoparts store. They are usually square shaped and black. There might be a plastic cover on them, they are underneith the hood.
