All mass air flow measuring sensor measure the air flow into motor.. so it has to be after the air filter and before the intake... usually in the duct work feeding air into motor

Location of map sensor on 2003 windstar
Fern, I believe you mean the Mass Air Flow sensor (MAF). It is normally found in the fresh air intake plastic/rubber hoses attached to the air filter box, on yours it may be in the part of air filter box. Check the attached links,instruction and guides, Good luck

Why does my 2002 Ford Windstar se idle at 3000 rpms and drop back down below 1000 rpms
The mass air flow sensor, the throttle body and the idle air control motor need a good cleaning. Use a brush and brake clean everything except the Mass air flow sensor, just spray it down, both sides. After you clean it, it will take a few second to restart.

What is the mhf sensor located on a 1999 ford windstar
Never heard of a MHF sensor. There is an MAF sensor, (Mass Air Flow) located inside the air body where the air filter housing is though. Check your data and repost with engine size if that is not the answer you seek. Also a trouble code would be helpful to determine what the problem may be.

I have 2001 ford windstar sport that chops off at highway speed. Changed cam and crank sensor with no difference. Any advice?
What about MAF sensor if the motor does not know how much air its getting it will shut off and then restart. Sounds like the MAF (mass flow air sensor) is malfunctioning.

follow your airbox usually front right side of engine and there should be a grommet or a similar attachment holding the sensor into the hose.
