The pcv is under the intake manifold on backside if it is leaking it can cause a high idle but i would check th ecar over for vacuum leaks as this is common as well

Good Day, my Corsa is got a high Idling and replaced all sensors on intake and throttle. Still Idling high and workshop light came on. What can the problem be. Please assist me - Thank you.

The cause of high idle are vacuum leaks or a bad or dirty Idle air control. Check pcv valve to see if its working properly. pinch off the hose that supplies the PCV valve. The engine speed should drop slightly. If the engine returns to a normal idle speed, the PCV valve should be replaced. The Idle air control regulates engine rpms.

High idle o n a 1996 chrysler concorde. have change the tps and the idle air control valve. i think its a vacum line but i dont know which one. which one s effect the idle

High idle is usually caused by a vacume leak. First place to check is the cold air intake manifold. All hoses, throttle body, and sensors. Throttle Position(TPS), Mass Airflow(MAS), Idle Air Control Motor (valve) IAC. Controls Idle speed

A malfunctioning throttle system can cause both a high idle as well as an engine stall.

A dirty air intake or cracked air intake tube is often the culprit.

Replace PCV valve 2001 taurus duratec engline rough idling when engine is cold. Engine will stop when vehicle is stopped at an intrersection. After driving for 30 plus minutes the car idles fine. Air leak?...

I dont think it is the PCV but its a good idea to replace the PCV at least once a year either way, and its very cheap, usually $2-$5 at autozone.

EGR issues on 1998 Chrysler Sebring..the valves are fine it might the transducer...a mechanic said to get to the blockage he had to remove the intake and it would run me about $350.00..I don't want to be...

most of the time .the egr valve ports get stop up with carbon. you remove the egr valve . take a small screw driver or piece of coat hanger . see where you remove egr valve.clean carbon built up in hole. in the intake use shop vacuum to clean up before you remove the egr valve you have to remove the transducer first. dont disconnect the electrical connector. because you might have pcm problems.
