Jeep Wrangler inside wheel "locks" when turning sharply in 4 x 4

2007 Rubicon Unlimited.
When in four wheel drive, it seems like the inside wheel is dragging when turning sharply. My guess is that the difflock is engaged and the inside wheel is trying to keep up with the outside wheel, but difflock is not selected and the dofflock indicator is not showing. It's un-driveable.

How do I fix this?

There is a service update for this here it is.

SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
The customer may experience a rubbing-like sound during hard cornering, when the

If the vehicle is equipped with the 17 inch Goodyear Silent Armor Tire, inspect the tire
inboard surface and the stabilizer bar for evidence of light contact. If contact is present
perform the Repair Procedure.

When I put my 2006 jeep wrangler into 4 wheel

which wranger, sport, SE, X, unlimited? what?
my 08 is not awd, cant do what you just did.

first off we dont know what 4wd you have.
nor what mode you picked,
nor if on dirt, ice or snow or dry pavement.

if you are using part time 4wd on dry pavement then this is totally wrong.
the glove box operators guide shows all fuses, lost that
why not get one and read the 4wd pages too.

for sure we need the transfer case model number
did you know the operators guide is different for each
option?

Rock-trac? NV241
Command-Trac 231 transfer case

my guess its just 231 case and is part time 4wd
ill quote the manual
Command-Trac should only be driven in 4WD on low-traction surfaces due to the front and rear axles being locked together (no differential action in the transfer case). Driving in 4WD on dry pavement causes excessive wheel and drivetrain wear. Four-wheel modes are most commonly used for wet/slick surfaces or extreme weather conditions (rain, snow, etc.) (4H), towing (N), and off-road activities (4L).

here is what can happen not reading the opr guide

http://www.rubicon-trail.com/4WD101/driveline-bind.html

the are exceptions on most jeeps
AWD with center differential
or with a vicious coupling added to end the above damage.
you have neither.

2008 jeep wrangler hood problem

I just bought a 2008 jeep wrangler and my hood is lifting 2 to 3 inches off the frame when I'm driving on the highway in wind speeds over 15 to 20 mph. I've owned two jeep wranglers in the past and I've never had this problem but chrysler keeps telling me this is normal. What's normal about a hood that is lifting off the frame?

Jeep brakes broken

Many Wrangler JK's have lift, but few people extend their brake lines. This is particularly important for Rubicon models. The Rubicons are capable of insane wheel travel, by stretching the wheel travel further (lifted?) you could exceed the length of the feeble factory brake lines. Crown manufactures brake line extensions for Wranglers, specifically for lifts.

My horn will not quit blowing on my 2007 jeep wrangler, I disconnected the battery and left it over night, I connected the battery and it continues to blow. It got wet inside yesterday due to rain. How do...

sounds like your switch is stuck on push the horn a couple times to see if it will stop if it doesnt you need to replace the switch which is in the steering wheel or you can take the fuse out or just unhook the horn

Jeep 2007 Wrangler Unlimited X 4x4 4 Doors

Sounds like a short in the electrical system. Maybe even just a loose ground wire. On the other hand...It could just as easily be a bad ECM (BRAIN)! Warranty still in tact? I hope so. Diagnostic at a certified Jeep shop... Good Luck!
