My 1993 Mazda Astina stopped dead and I cannot restart it

It still turns over but does not fire. I have checked the petrol pump and that is fine. It is EFI. When we towed it home the car would run while being towed but as soon as you apply acceleration it dies and that is why I thought it was the petrol pump. Any idea what the problem is.

I just bought an 1993 mazda rx7 today but it wont start last

bastard things are prone to flooding im afraid, take plugs out, whizz it over for 30 seconds be patient and wait for half hour to give time to dry out, then a couple of squirts of oil in each plug hole, whizz it over for about 2 seconds, then a couple more squirts of oil in each plughole again, replace (dry) sparkplugs, leads on turn it over and it should go.ive suffered this twice this year (in the rain).
repeat if nescessary
avoid this problem by NOT RUNNING for LESS THAN 5 MINIUTS,as this is caused by a rush ov petrol because ecu thinks engine is cold so injects more fuel, then you turn engine off, this rush of petrol rinses the rotors clean of the oil they depend upon to maintain compression upon restarting, this is where the proceedure above works.
