My 2005 Range HSE radio / CD has stopped working. The audio system power button on the dash flashes randomly, occasional sound (music) will come thru the audio system. The audio cutout initially was triggered by hard braking. Now it is continuous. I looked in the radio/audio boot (Left Rear of vehicle) found some corrosion on the bluetooth harness and connectors. Used a connection "deOX" cleaner on the contacts and then re connected. appeared to fix the problem for about 3 days. No moisture appears to be entering the radio area. The problem now appears regulary (every day w/in minutes of starting the vehicle). The radio display on the dash will "grey out" the radio and CD buttons during the outages. The Bluetooth randomly works on location of the cell phone. It will display "Phone not fitted". This rover has the HK7 with "MOST" system. Batt voltage is 12.72 volts and charges when running at 14.65 volts. Have pulled the fuses to reset, no change in issues. When the radio power button is flashing, the "orange light" inside of the "radio box" in the boot will flash. The GPS and suspension monitor portion of the system appears to still work as intended. Can anyone help? If this is a regular rover issue, is there a common fix or is there an aftermarket solution for this Audio gremlin?
Thank you.
I have an 05 hse with the same issue, prought it to an electrical specialist who went in the boot and unkinked the infrared wires from all components, it worked for about a month and a few days ago it started again, when you say you "deoxed" the bluetooth harness....do you mean the nokia brain in the left rear boot or the cell phone dock in the front center console??? I have an appointment with the dealership tommorow and i hope they find the WIRING issue instead of trying to have me buy $5000 in new computers that wont fix the problem, its a common issue in this model with the logic 7 just wish someone who has already cleared this hurdle would post a solution:(...I will keep everyone updated
I have a 2005 range Rover HSE, and I am having the same exact problem. I took it to a LR specialist and will find out what the problem is and what the $$$$$$$ (damage) is in the morining.
I've got the same car with the same problem. I do not see any answers on this thread. What did the dealer say?
Has this issue been resolved and what is the solution please?
Both myself and a neighbour have the same problem on a 05 model. Mine worked intermittently when I purchased it in Sept 17 and then worked perfectly well all through the summer...as soon as the rain appeared so did the fault, must be moister getting in somewhere. Surly somebody must have the answer its so common..

I'm having the exact same problem! has anyone found a solution?
very upsetting, range rover says this is your problem. i disagree why would my car leak in the inside, it seems it is a widespread problem that land rover has not addressed ,they left it to the owners which i believe is wrong, all components inside car are getting wet because of a design flaw. land rover should own up to this problem and have a recall to fix it.
Any solutions? I will find out what lies they will sell me in the morning!
I also have the same problem with My 2005 Range Rover. Almost 2 years ago I change the Blue Tooth module at a NY local RR dealer, I was charge about $1100.00 to replace it. Now it went dead again, No Radio, No GPS and No CD., I return to the RR dealer, they told me I'll need to change the Module again. the Job was only guaranty for 1 year . Can some one help.

Hi guys found out what the problem was. It all tracked back to the Nokia phone brain box. Just removed it bypass the fiber optics around it. Done. No more cell phone Bluetooth for the truck. But it was poor anyway. Good luck and cheers to everybody.
Most likely these have fiber optics for sound wiring, if so this is how i located the problem and repaired for my Benz and now will be troubleshooting my rover. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eo1OpKfLTJg
