Usually the fuse pannel is under the drivers side dash or under the hood in a black box just take off the lid and on the under side of it usually all the fuses positions are labled

ok you are probably correct to think that you overloaded the plug and burned it out. I have seen decent replacement plugs at auto parts stores for about $10-15. Its a bit of a chore to remove some of the dash trim in that area but it can be done with some patients
Do you mean that you are looking for the fuse? The fuse for the cigarette lighter is located in the fuse block under the left side of the dash. it is marked "CIG". It is a 15 Amp fuse
NOTE: This fuse also powers your clock, air bag sensor assembly, remote control mirror switch and your shift lock. If this fuse is blown, you will also have problems with these items.
Your vehicle is also equipped with an auxilliary power outlet (Which looks the same as the cigarette lighter socket) it is powered by the fuse marked "*1" If this fuse is blown, only the power outlet will not work. This also is a 15 Amp fuse. (See picture below)
hello there: Yes there is a fuse for the cigarette lighter should be in the driver compartment down by the brake the cover of the fuse block marked cig.lighter pull it out and check to see if the fuse is blown or not. you will be able to see a brake in between the posts of the fuse if that does not solve the problem. you may have a short in the wiring or it could also be a possible that the lighter may not be any good.
A good thing to check to see if it's just a fuse is try your external mirrors to see if they move, they work off the same fuse as the lighter.
If it is a fuse, and if you are in Australia then the fuse box is next to the drivers right knee area, In America, then next to their left knee. There is also a fusible link built into some cigarette lighters, mine has one. When it blew, the auto electrician was able to resolder the link and get me going again until I could buy a new lighter.
