SOURCE: '95 subaru legacy -where is my trans mission fluid dipstick?

is located in the passanger side of the engine. almost right above the universal joint that powers the tires/ it's on the BELL HOUSING if you open the hood and look close you will see a 2 inch curved handle/ it's verry small to see but if you take your time you will see it. the dipstic itself its about 4 inches long . you have to use a funnel and pour the fluid inthe dipstick hole.

SOURCE: 95 Subaru legacy wagon manual transmission fluid

The dipstick has a black plastic handle in the shape of ring of about 1 inch in diameter. It is located on the left side of the engine (looking from front) behind the spark plugs. Best visible from the passenger side fender location (start looking from the left part of the transmission , the black handle clearly stands out on the white metal).

SOURCE: 2006 Subaru Outback: all of a sudden, the cruis

Hello, whenever the check engine light comes on the cruse light will flash as well, that is normal. The check engine light will not come on if fluid levels are low or if the temp is getting to high, I am pleased to know that you checked all of the fluids, most wouldn't have even the slightest thought to even try checking them. The On Board Diagnostics or OBD-2 for short only sets a check engine light when the ECM or Electronic Control Module reads a sensor value either too high or too low, but it has to read that same fault 3 consecutive times in a row to turn on the check engine light (w/ flashing cruise). Otherwise your check engine light would be going on and off all the time. I would go to your local parts store and have them check the codes for free because a dealer will have to charge you labor for them to check due to the knowledge needed to use the highly sophisticated scan tool they use. That way you can go either to an independent shop or a dealer with what the other scanner says is wrong which cuts down on the cost of repairs. They will probably ask you if you fueled up just before the engine light came on, in which that would be code P0440:EVAP leak(very small leak), that means the fuel tank sensor doesn't like how you put the fuel cap on. Subaru recommends AT LEAST 3 clicks when tightening your fuel cap. But until that code is checked you won't know whats wrong, if nothing went boom or bang you'll probably be ok. If it does end up being a fuel cap leak, then just loosen the cap put it back on and just make 1 full revolution, and just keep driving it. The light will go off within 3 full warm up cool down cycles or (drive cycles). I hope this info helps...(subyguru)...

SOURCE: 2008 GMC Sierra 1500 50,644 miles check

This problem seems to be the ECM (computer) to have so many things acting up at the same time. Did it all start at the same time? Its possible that you can reset the ECM by removing the hot and ground cables, wait about 15 minutes and then replace them, may fix the problem, may only temporarily fix the problem if the ecm is bad or something is setting a code to cause this. It sounds as if it is running in limp mode. Have it tested at the nearest parts store. They should be able to decipher the problem.

SOURCE: 1995 subaru legacy - transmission fluid dipstick?

The Dipstick is on the driver side right next to the starter and yes you also put the fluid in there.

Transmission temperature getting hot on 99 Subaru legacy station wagon

THe first step would be to check the transmission fluid level. THis needs to be done with the car in park with the engine idling. Low fluid level will cause the fluid to overheat. If the fluid is low, you will need to add some to bring it up to the correct level. Be aware that this means that you probably have a leak somewhere that needs to be fixed. If this light turns on when the car is cold, this could point to an electronic issue with the wiring or sensor inside the transmission. THis may be a good time to go ahead and do a transmission filter change (DO NOT FLUSH THE FLUID, just replace what comes out when you drop the pan to change the filter)- I would recommend doing this every 20 or 30k miles and i would also recommend adding Lucas Transmission Fix with the service.

Why my Subaru crosstrek shifter is stuck?

The car has a brake light circuit powered transmission Park shifter lockout solenoid, so if the brake lights are not working when the pedal is pressed the car will not come out of park. Check the brake lights first. Also the owners manual should have a set of instructions to bypass the part lock, it varies with each car but some you turn the key to just short of the on position and wiggle the shifter while doing that, others there is a button hidden on the shift console

2014 Outback - Brake light flashes and Check Engine light come while driving then the engine shuts off. Wait 2-3 minutes before restarting. Happened 3 times in the past week.

Have the codes read. Check the brake fluid level. Wouldn't surprise me if low brake fluid doesn't kill the engine know days.

Is it normal for my 2013 subaru xv crosstrek to have excessive oil consumption?

Yes that is normal, Subaru failed to tell customers of the oil consumption, if you go to your Subaru dealer they will fill oil to level & tell you to come back in 1200 miles time, they use 1quart every 1200 miles

2003 Hyundai Elantra

NO. These models do not have warnings on the transmission failure. There is warnings only when the transmission encounters electrical component failure, overheating(some cars), low fluid. Usually the warning is the O/D flashing light, or a seperate transmission light. Hopefully this helps

Unknown warning light

Check you fluid levels on the car. Oil and transmission can turn this light on. Check the oil while car is off and transmission while the car is on.

Transmission

Check the level of the transmission fluid, low fluid can prevent the transmission from shifting.
