I would start with fuse panels. There should be a relay or fuse. Swap one with another to see if that works.

I have a 2005 Jeep Liberty and the smae lever that tilts the seat also moves it forward and back. Press forward or back on the switch. Also check for blown fuse or a loose wiring connector under the drivers seat. Good luck, Techjoel

I would check the switch first which is cheap to replace. you cant really test it but just to replace it. If the switch is good more likely you will have to replace the the motor, if it faulty the seat will not move forward or backward. it not hard to replace if you can remove the seat.

The limited edition brings memory setting for mirrors and seats, it recognizes which key are you putting in the ignition and puts the saved setting accordingly to that driver's key. That is the reason your seat keeps moving. You need to reprogram the seat position for that key. Good luck
