2000 Astro van - drivers window only goes up a in increments

Do it by process off elimination, in stole one fuse at time and this way you know if the radio or gauges is the problem,all the best.

Fuse panel is usually located under the dash by the driver's feet or under the hood.

the fuel filter on your astro van is mounted along the inside of the frame rail on the driver side(just behind the driver door)under the van. it's a cyliner looking cantainer.

check the body control module . it is on the drivers side under the dash. it runs the windows and radio and all inside

Power Window motor seems to be going . There are two motors in the door panel one to raise and one to lower ....i would replace the raising motor.
Should only take 2hrs for novice.

To replace the power window motor:

1. Remove inside door panel, and locate the motor.

2 Unplug the motor, drill out the rivets that hold it in, then you can remove it.

3. the new motor may come with fasteners to install it, otherwise use 1/4 - 20 nuts and bolts to attach the new motor.

sadly, it sounds like a bad torque converter.

I have a 2000 Astro had the same troubles.I saw that the sides of the coil were burned looking.In between the bar that goes around it. This started around 110K It would run badly when wet or high humidity.Then throw up the check engine lite.Put on a new coil so far the problem has no reocured.
