In regards to the gas gauge problem, GMC has sent me a letter and is reimbursing me for the cost of having mine replaced...Apparently, this is a common problem with the Envoys and GMC is now covering the cost of repair...If they haven't contacted you, you could go to your local GMC dealer and inquire... I hope this is helpful...

Gas gauge registers empty even after fill-up. I noticed several people have this same problem. Has GMC issued a recall for this problem as I know it will be expensive to fix?

Well, expensive is a relative term. Ususally this issue is the tank sender, but of course you need to test it. The problem is now most tank units also have an expensive fuel pump as part of it and both get changed. This involves tank removal in most cases. This issue is not limited to your type of vehicle.

2006 envoy gas cap won't tighten and the fuel gauge reads empty on fill up and fluctuates back and forth.

You can just replace the gas cap...However about the fuel guage fluctuates back and forth...thats due to the sending unit, which is located on the fuel pump itself

GM had a problem with the fuel sending unit cards inside the fuel tank,If you replace that you should be good to go.

Cluster panel acting sporatic

Is it ALL of the gauges? My wife's 2005 Envoy Denali had a problem with the gas gauge sending unit (in the tank) that made the gauge act erratic. Also, the check engine light would stay on alot. If it is all the gauges, then it may well be the dash unit. Hope that helps some.

Fuel Sensor is not working properly

U must replace the fuel gauge sending unit to correct the problem with your gauge, the sender is located inside the fuel tank, the tank must be removed to replace the sender.

There is a Sending Unit for the Gas Guage Under the Dash I Believe. It usually Runs about $750.00 Just for the Unit. I agree with you!

Gas gauge not woking properly gas tank only accepts a little gas

a fuel sending unit seems to be the most popular solution. the part is about $40. I think the labor is what's going to kill you.
