Mine did the same thing. What you need is a new door lock actuator. It's fairly easily to replace yourself, if you're mechanically inclined. If I remember right the part is about $40.00 from the dealership.

You may want to pop out the switch panel and see if the wiring coupler has come loose at the switch.

1995 ford futura doors wont lock

Inside the door is an electric motor that pulls the door lock down to the locked position, either the rod has come off to the door latch from the door lock motor or the motor has failed. Remove the door panel and check it for power when the button is pressed for the power locks, if it gets power then it is most likely the motor that is the problem.

1993 Nissan Altima The security light is blinking and the car wont turn over. it has a good battery. Is the flashing security light preventing the car from turning over?

Yes, the security system shuts power to the starter and fuel pump. You can try disarming by unlocking and locking the doors the power door locks switch (depends on model). Place the key in the ignition and set to ON, ALL doors closed!! Cycle the locks using the power locks button on the driver's door "lock" then "unlock" if this doesnt work, try same method with the ignition OFF. Otherwise your security system is malf.

Passanger door wont lock

possibly- you will need to take off the door panel. Look all around the panel for screws securing the panel. Usually the are near the door inside handle and securing the armrest. also check around the outside edges sometimes there are screws there too. Once the panel is off with the window up you can carefully pull off the plastic seal and see the door outer hadle and lock cylinder. These are attached by rods to the latch assembly. Make sure nothing is obstructing the movement of these. It is possible for the rod to come loose in which case you need to replace it and snop a small conector that holds the rod. the rods are l shaped on the ends - the end goes into the connector and then it spins around and snaps onto the rod.If this helps please reply and good luck

Rear back door will not work with central locking system

If it makes a sound, but doesn't unlock / lock, then it's most likely the linkage has seperated. If it doesn't make a sound, it's most likely the actuator for the lock has broken. you'll need to remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge. Then you'll need to pull off the seal in order to see inside the door

Jeep grand cherokee central locking system

If all the doors do not lock or unlock when using the passenger side switch, then the switch itself is probably bad.   If the passenger side switch locks or unlocks all the other doors except for its own, then the power lock solenoid inside the door is bad or jammed.  If it is jammed, try locking and unlocking the door manually while activating the switch to work its way free.
