The below is from wikipedia...there may be an imbalance in how the power is being applied. Is the wheel alignment correct? Is the drivetrain all fully intact? Is the suspension functioning correctly, i.e. are shocks, springs all functioning to original spec. It may be a combination of several things, I would check on alignment and suspension. Tyre wear might give an indication of what is going on. I appreciate there are no obvious signs,
Have you been using the vehicle off road for an extended period of time recently, i.e. befor the problem arose? Sorry I can only make suggestions, question what it might be, without vehicle to hand diagnosis is difficult. Please eloborate, add more detail and repost the query, thanks.

Torque steer is the unintended influence of engine torque on the steering, especially in front-wheel drive vehicles. For example, during heavy acceleration the steering may pull to one side, which may be disturbing to the driver. The effect is manifested either as a tugging sensation in the steering wheel, or a veering of the vehicle from the intended path. Torque steer is directly related to differences in the forces in the contact patches of the left and right drive wheels. The effect becomes more evident when high torques are applied to the drive wheels either because of a high overall reduction ratio between the engine and wheels, high engine torque, or some combination of the two. Torque steer is distinct from steering kickback.

SOURCE: 4 wheel drive not working

sounds to me like the transfer case clutches are worn out. also the fluid could be low or dirty. try draining and refilling the transfercase with clean fluid. if it is still not working after driving it around for a few miles then you may need to replace or overhaul your transfercase

Are any of the parts on a 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee interchangeable with a 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee? rear axle, wheels, power-steering, hood hyrdraulics?

A few parts should be interchangeable. Most of them will not be however since the Grand Cherokee underwent a complete re-design for 1999. Some engines and transmissions will switch out. The rear axle in the 97 was commonly a Dana/Spicer 35. This was replaced with a larger rear differential in 1999 for increased towing capacity. The wheels should interchange ok, power steering system was pretty much the same and as long as the hydraulics (supports) on the hood are the same length they should work

2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited makes rear noise when turning left?

Could be low on oil, or need a shot of additive if it is a limited slip differential.
The noise may be the clutches in the diff or one of the axle bearings.

Vibration at 70 MPH.

Warped or out-of balance brake rotor? Also keep in mind that loose rear differential trailing arms that allow the rear differential to squirm around can also cause steering wheel shake.

My brake lights are out in my 2004 grand cherokee, already check bulbs, fuses and pedal switch.....seems ok to me

Your turn signalswitch is most likely the culprit. You have to remove the steering wheel to replace it. Just don't turn the wheels to tightly when you remove the steering wheel. or you could damage the clock spring inside the steering column.

I have a 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee that when running 45mph shakes like crazy.I have replaced the track bar, axls and everything in between and still no improvement what else could it be

Have you checked/replaced the ball joints? That usually will fix the problem but there are other causes as well. If the track bar mount hole is oblong that can cause a problem as can wheels that are not torqued to specifications. In extreme cases, adding some positive caster over factory alignment specs can also help.
The steering damper (sideways shock attached to steering linkage) is often blamed for shake but it gets damaged by the shaking and is not the cause) check that and replace if needed AFTER you have fixed the problem.

Steering is no longer tight, there seems to be to

At this point, you need to look underneath and check for play while someone works the wheel back and forth. Then, jack up each wheel and put a bar under it and try to lift the tire while someone watches the ball joints for play. All front end components should have very little or no play. Any that do need to be replaced. (that goes for bushings as well)

2004 jeep grand cherokee. I am doing the rear

first. i don't know why you would have ball joints in the rear end. it is not a steering axle. don't do it. your gona get hurt. take it in and let a machanic work on it. second you don't take the shocks or springs out to replace ball joints. just the wheel assembly comes off. and yes i believe there are alighnment adjustments for the rear. but i wouldn't do that at home myself. take it in.
