I recommend Ford Replacement.....It is Expensive.........

Not too much of a problem really.....you want to have a pretty empty tank. Your pump is in the gas tank. Best way to do it is have a digital camera in hand and take plenty of photos . Easy part is dropping the tank, unstrapping it, undo the wires and hose/tubing....remember to replace the gasket.
It's easy, take your time and you can do it. No special tools required.

MAYBE NOT. SWAP THE WIPER RELAY FOR THE FUEL PUMP RELAY TO SEE IF THE PUMP TURNS ON. IF IT DOES NOT OPERATE, THEN WHILE SOMEONE TURNS THE KEY TO THE ON POSITION, BANG ON THE BOTTOM OF THE FUEL TANK AND REPEAT THIS AND YOU SHOULD HEAR THE PUMP AFTER A FEW JOLTS TO THE PUMP MOTOR. IF THE PUMP DOES TURN ON, THEN DRIVE IT TO WHERE EVER YOU PLAN ON HAVING IT REPAIRED. THIS MAY ONLY RUN ONE OR TWO TIMES USING THIS METHOD. IF YOU NEED TO BANG ON THE TANK TO JAR THE PUMP LOOSE, THEN IT NEEDS TO BE CHANGED. HOPE THIS HELPS YOU TO RESOLVE THIS ISSUE. PLEASE KEEP ME POSTED. this is not a job for the faint of heart!! you have to remove the complete dash! the heater box is located hehind the radio !in the middle of the dash ! theres no way around!!!
