SOURCE: 2002 Oldsmobile Aurora stiff accelerator
I had the same problem until I adjusted (carefully!) the throttle stop. It is a Torx screw that the throttle rests against at stop/idle. Apparently after a while, enough slop develops in the throttle cable & connectors that the throttle actually goes past "TDC" when the engine is turned off and it takes quite a bit of pressure to get it to move, creating a dangerous situation of sudden acceleration.
The adjustment is not enough to affect engine idle speed.
SOURCE: Heated seats not working on
Hi
Thanks for using FixYa. Check for a broken wire connecting the heating element. A
common cause for the heated seats to not work is a burned heater element. There
is an element under the seat cushion cover, and one under the seatback cover.
If either has failed, both will not work. Take the seat apart and investigate
the problem thoroughly.
Determine if the front seat assembly heat element resistance
values are within the specified range.
If the resistance values are NOT within the specified range,
install a Front Seat Heater Package between the existing front seat trim cover
factory heat elements and the seat cushion and back foam pads.
Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further assistance.
Thanks
Rylee

If it's making a clunk noise when hitting bumps, check the mounting plates and bushings that hold the rear end to the frame. GM made these plates out of aluminum and the bolts that go through the plate and the bushings rot out and the rear end slams against the frame.

Switch, relay, circuit or the motor itself is shorted.
