Fuel. Check fuel pressure. Replace the fuel filter. When you do this and if you still have problems. Then go after the fuel injection. It is under the plenum on top of the engine. This is a pricey part. I would replace the fuel pressure regulator first(still under the plenum) then replace the spider injection, as they call it. But when you get in there and you see the plastic injector lines broken, replace it all.
This can be caused by anything limiting fuel pressure or ignition spark. Tune up items, bad coil/module, bad fuel pump, filter, relay, bad converter, muffler, dirty air filter, vacuum leak, EGR, or others.
Look under the cover you will see holes inside the holes are screws remove the screws and the cover comes off in two halfs, the screws are troxs or phillps head screws.
