Which door are you talking about ? front door ,passenger door , rear lift gate ? Front doors an passenger doors have a door ajar switch ,same switch which turns on the lights when the door is opened . An there is no sensor for window up an down .

Door ajar switch wouldn't cause window not to work . Viewing wiring diagrams an using a DVOM - digital volt ohmmeter is how to find the problem . View wiring diagram to see what all is involved in making those systems work an then test .

watch a few repair videos on you tube .Buy repair info. service manual from

Watch training videos for electrical testing

Don't guess an don't expect someone who hasn't looked at or tested it to give a magical fix . Training an more training an more training is how i learned how to trouble shoot electrical problems .

It is likely that you have a loose connection at the sensor somewhere between the sensor and the computer. Start by checking the terminations at the door sensor, and if they are tight, use a ohmeter and check the contact resistance for the switch in both open and closed positions. It could be that the switch is shot.

SOURCE: what are the steps to

Hello and welcome to FixYa!

As a first course of action please browse the internet to know what does the 2007 chevy equinox egr valve looks like. The egr valve is secured by two bolts, please remove the egr valve connector (black) first before removing the bolt. After removal you're good to install the replacement part.

Hope this helps and thank you for using Fixya! Have a good one!

SOURCE: Where do I find instructions

It's not all that bad. I replaced mine with mostly normal tools (maybe torx bits). you have to pull the interior panel from the door to have access to it, and remove the wiper arm (probably the hardest part to get off). Just take your time and make sure you find all of the panel screws and don't drop things on your head.

Open the driver's door and look on the left side of the dash. There is a small panel there. Open it up and on the back of the panel is a guide.

2009 chevy equinox rear passenger door won't unlock with remote

Lock/unlock motor may be failing. Remove the door panel and remove the connector from the lock motor. Check the dc voltage at the connector while pressing the lock switch. If you see battery voltage, replace the motor. If the voltage is low, inspect the wiring.

Chevy 2011 equinox

bank 1 intake sensor fault, I would disconnet wire at sensor with key off and look at terminals closely to see if the female terminals are tight together so as to when they are plugged into sensor (male spades) are tight in connector, and not partially backed out. bank 1 is the head that is the farthest forward on eng. (pass. side) and intake sensor would be the inner sensor....there are 4 of them...2 exhaust and 2 intake . each head has 1 exh. and 1 int. sensor. good luck hopefully you just have a bad connection !

I have a 2007 Chev Equinox. The radio and instrument cluster will not shut off when the ignition is turned off and the driver's door is opened. It will shut off after about 5 min. later. Any ideas?

the problem may be in the drivers door switch.Even though the door is open the switch may be at falt.Even if the door were closed the radio will shut off after 5/10 mins.
